Don’t diet! Eat more by making healthier choices!
Baking vs. Frying
This is an easy subsitute. Yea, sure frying is easier and quicker, but it’s not necessarily healthy. Try this trick: Everytime I buy store-bought fries, I take the extra time and bake them in the oven. And the same goes for all my foods. Take the time the to preheat the oven and bake your food. You can eat more, just by cutting unecessary grease and fat.
Choose leaner meats
Whether you prefer red meat, chicken, pork, turkey or any other kind of meat, it’s all about moderation. But if you want to fill your tummy with less calories, I always go with leaner meats.
Whether it’s making tacos or burgers, I always reach for lean ground turkey. Turkey is not as greasy as red meat and has 97% less fat.
If turkey isn’t your thing, reach for some chicken. Like turkey, chicken has less fat and fewer calories then red meat. It’s a versatile food that can be prepared and used in many dishes.
Finally, for a meat low in fat and rich in vitamins and healthy oils, I would go for fish.
Regardless of which meat you prefer, always be mindful of the way you cook and prepare it. Choosing healthy oils as extra virgin olive oil and baking vs. frying, can all be ways to get the most vitamins out of your foods.
